Overfitting
Overfitting is like a student who memorizes the answers to a practice test instead of learning the material. They might ace the practice test, but they'll bomb the real thing because they don't understand the underlying concepts. In AI, overfitting happens when a model is too closely fit to the training data and doesn't generalize well to new, unseen data.
